With the Harmattan season just weeks away, now is the perfect time to explore how selling these items can generate extra income.

Speaking with LEADERSHIP Weekend , Mr Akintola Ayeni, who is into fashion wears said,
Harmattan poses a risk to skin if it is not well protected from the harsh weather, adding that investors can buy and sell such preventive materials that can help protect skin from cracking and drying.

During this time, there is need for people to drink more water against dehydration, cover nose and mouth with a mask or towel when it is dusty, therefore, any proactive investor can engage in sales of nose-mask, bottled water, thick-wool clothes, among others.
One can invest in thick fabrics that can protect one from the cold. These include wool, pure cotton, velvet etc.
According to Ayeni, “Go for them instead of nylon materials as these can cause your skin to get irritated due to the dry weather. There is need for Head gear: One of the recent trends is the head gear which prevents dust from getting into people’s scalp or hair because harmattan’s wind comes with dust.

“Also , you can get dust-preventive materials for customers against dust in eyes and lashes which can be very irritating and give a red eye. Any investor, seeking new way of money-making can seize this opportunity to buy and sell such protective clothing that can withstand the harmattan weather.”
