Gov. Otu Assures Tinubu Of 96% Votes Cast In 2027 Presidential Polls

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has pledged to ensure that the state delivers 96% of the votes to President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

This promise was made during an endorsement rally for Tinubu, organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Calabar.

Despite heavy rainfall, the rally saw a large turnout of party supporters, demonstrating their love and faith in the government.

The governor who spoke on behalf of President Bola Tinubu after his endorsement by the Cross River State people of the South senatorial district, averred that the administration has made significant strides in various sectors, laying a solid economic foundation and increasing the state‘s GDP.

While praising the state‘s security agencies for the tremendous improvement in security, Otu stated that the state has recorded the disbandment of over 16 militant camps, and the success of the state‘s amnesty programme has improved security, with only one camp remaining.

On tourism development, Otu averred that the upcoming December carnival will mark a grand 20-year celebration, attracting visitors from around the world to celebrate with the state.

The endorsement rally signifies a major political milestone for President Tinubu, reaffirming his stronghold in Cross River State ahead of the 2027 electoral season.
