This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature on Thursday.

Bature quoted the governor to have announced their dissolution during a valedictory meeting with members of the Committees on Wednesday at Government House in Kano.

While appreciating the outgoing IMCs, for their commitment in steering affairs of the local governments for six months, the governor assured that the state government will continue to engage for the benefit of people of Kano.

He however directed the interim chairmen to handover the affairs of their respective areas to the Directors Personnel Management (DPMs) who will run the councils pending the local governments elections scheduled for October 26.
