Governor Bala Inaugurates 30km Roads Construction

Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has inaugurated a road construction project from the headquarters of Darazo local government area to Gapciyari community awarded at over N2.6 billion.
He also inaugurated over N5.6 billion project for the dualisation and expansion of seven kilometres’ road from A.D Rufa’i College of Education to Government Science Secondary School, Misau.
These are parts of the 13 proposed rural and urban road construction projects recently approved by the State Executive Council (SEC).

While inaugurating the projects at Darazo and Misau local government areas yesterday, Governor Mohammed said the move was in response to aspirations of the benefiting communities and the desire of his administration to enhance socioeconomic activities in the affected areas.
Bala Mohammed who said infrastructural development remained the priority of his administration noted that 30 percent of the contract sum has been paid to mobilise the contractors to the sites.

Earlier, the state commissioner for works and transport Ibrahim Gambo Galadima said the ministry would monitor the projects to ensure that quality work is delivered.
In their separate remarks, the caretaker committee chairman of Darazo local government area, Samaila Ya’u Sade and his counterpart in Misau, Alhaji Salisu Hussain commended the governor for the equitable distribution of infrastructural development across the state.

Senator Tinubu stated that the RHI will flag off the “Renewed Hope Initiative Women Agricultural Support Programmes (WASP)” in Imo State on the 28th of February, 2024.
The first lady explained that women farmers would get N500,000 each and a total draft of N10,000,000 million will be given to five RHI state coordinators/first ladies as the case may be.
In addition, the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, (NALDA) in partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) will support additional eighty (80) women farmers from each state with the provision of training and capacity building, agricultural inputs and buy off all produce from the farms after harvest.

The highlight of the meeting was the unveiling of the proposed Young Farmers’ Club for Public Schools in each state of the Federation with the proposed uniforms for members.
She pointed out that this will encourage food production among the youth tagged, #Food on Every table. She appealed to each of the governors’ wives to take ownership of this scheme and encourage it as much as possible.
