The ceremony followed the declaration of winners in the local government elections held last Saturday, with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) securing all the 11 chairmanship and 114 councillorship seats contested.

Inuwa said the election was in line with the provisions of Section 79, sub-sections (3) and (4) of the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) and Electoral (Amendment) Law 2011.
