Group Intensifies PVC Sensitisation Drive In FCT

A group, CG Musa Group 4 PBAT 2027, has intensified its grassroots voter awareness campaign with a large-scale expansion of its permanent voter card (PVC) sensitisation drive in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The expanded campaign, which began with a well-attended civic rally in Jiwa Chiefdom of Abuja, is designed to boost PVC collection by partnering with traditional institutions to deepen voter education and civic participation.

The coalition said it is leveraging Abuja’s traditional leadership structures as key drivers of community mobilisation, with the aim of taking voter education directly to the grassroots.

According to the organisers, the strategy seeks to empower community leaders to dispel misinformation and strengthen communication between the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and residents.

As part of the initiative, community chiefs, elders and youth leaders are being equipped to serve as civic educators, guiding residents on how to verify their voter registration status, locate designated PVC collection centres and comply with updated INEC guidelines.

The group said the pilot exercise in Jiwa Chiefdom recorded impressive participation, particularly among women and youths, whom local leaders described as essential stakeholders in promoting sustainable community development.

Beyond encouraging PVC collection, the campaign also seeks to promote civic responsibility and public participation in shaping Nigeria’s future.

Representatives of the group urged residents to see the Permanent Voter Card not merely as an identification document but as a tool for influencing the country’s governance and economic direction.

Speaking during the rally, the director of Mobilisation for C.G. Musa Group 4 PBAT 2027, Blessing Moses, described PVC collection as a civic obligation with far-reaching implications for national development.

“Your Permanent Voter Card is your power to secure Nigeria’s future. Collecting your PVC is the ultimate civic duty, and using it to ensure the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is how we guarantee lasting progress,” Moses said.

She maintained that sustainable national transformation requires consistency in policy implementation, arguing that the Renewed Hope agenda of the current administration is laying the foundation for long-term economic stability.

Following what it described as the successful launch in Jiwa Chiefdom, the coalition said it has concluded plans to replicate the traditional institution-driven sensitisation model across all chiefdoms, area councils and wards in the FCT.

The leadership of the C.G. Musa Group 4 PBAT 2027 National Secretariat said the expansion is aimed at ensuring that every eligible voter is adequately informed and encouraged to collect their PVC ahead of the 2027 elections, thereby reducing voter disenfranchisement and strengthening democratic participation.
