A group, Grassroots Mobilisation Initiative (GMI) has appaluded Mr Seyi Tinubu for his philanthropic efforts to improve healthcare access and boost small-scale enterprises in Northern Nigeria.
In a statement released by the GMI national coordinator, Samaila Musa, the group highlighted the tangible impact of Tinubu’s initiatives in underserved communities in Kaduna and Sokoto States.

The initiatives, carried out under the “Youth in Business for Seyi Tinubu” banner, have reportedly provided both free medical care and economic support to thousands of beneficiaries.

“In Kaduna State, communities such as Kachia and Kabala have benefitted from free medical check-ups, eye tests, prescription glasses, and essential medications,” the statement read. “In Sokoto State, residents of Mabera in Sokoto South LGA, Bodinga LGA, and surrounding areas received similar healthcare support.”

The group emphasised that over 2,000 individuals have accessed healthcare through the programme, which it described as a “pragmatic effort to expand access to quality medical services for the destitute.”

Beyond healthcare, GMI revealed that Mr Tinubu has empowered 1,000 small business owners across Kaduna and Sokoto states, each receiving ₦50,000 in financial assistance and solar power packages. The initiative aims to help entrepreneurs reduce energy costs, improve productivity, and promote sustainable livelihoods.

“In a region where access to quality healthcare and economic opportunities remains a pressing challenge, Seyi’s interventions have brought hope, healing, and a pathway to self-reliance for thousands,” Musa said.

GMI described the dual-focus approach as an “exemplary model of grassroots development,” combining immediate medical relief with long-term economic empowerment. The group also urged other individuals, corporate bodies, and political leaders to emulate Mr Tinubu’s model of social investment.

“By combining healthcare with economic empowerment, he is not only saving lives but also securing livelihoods,” the statement added. “These programmes have restored confidence, given fresh hope to struggling families, and provided tools for many to take control of their economic futures.”

Musa offered prayers for Mr Tinubu’s continued success and reaffirmed the group’s support for initiatives that uplift Nigeria’s most vulnerable populations.
