The Nigerian Transparency Initiative (NTI) has called on the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mr. Bayo Ojulari, to respond to corruption allegations recently raised against him.

In Abuja, the group’s coordinator, Mr. Muyiwa Salami, said it was important for Ojulari to provide clarity on the issues in order to maintain public trust in the NNPCL and the oil sector.

According to the statement, some of the reports have generated public interest and concern, with opinions divided on whether they are politically motivated or substantive. The NTI noted that offering a clear response would help ensure transparency and safeguard the reputation of the company.
