The Noble 1993 Set of Government Secondary School (GSS) Borokiri, along with the school’s executives and Board of Trustees, have congratulated Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, CEO and managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), on two milestones: the successful hosting of the NDDC’s 25th anniversary and his recent conferment with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration (Honoris Causa) by the Governing Board and Senate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
Ogbuku’s latest accolade comes as no surprise to his peers, who have long recognised his embodiment of the Noble 1993 Set’s values of integrity, excellence, and leadership. “As a member of our set, Chief Ogbuku has consistently lived up to our identity and sobriquet, Noble, in his professional conduct and visionary leadership,” said Lexy Mueka, president of the GSS Borokiri Noble 1993 Set.
Before assuming the role of CEO/MD of the NDDC, Ogbuku distinguished himself as an exemplary ambassador of the Noble 1993 Set, earning respect in various official capacities. Since his appointment, he has elevated the NDDC’s mission, implementing transformative reforms that align with President Bola Tinubu’s vision to Renew the Hope of the Niger Delta. His leadership has fostered sustainable peace, progress, and development by uniting stakeholders in a shared commitment to the region’s advancement.
The Noble 1993 Set expressed admiration for Ogbuku’s flawless managerial expertise and bold approach to public service, which have repositioned the NDDC as a beacon of hope for the Niger Delta. “We are confident that this well-deserved honorary doctorate will inspire him to continue making us proud,” Mueka added.
On behalf of the entire GSS Borokiri community, the Noble 1993 Set extends heartfelt congratulations to Chief Dr. Samuel Ogbuku for his outstanding contributions to the Niger Delta and his unwavering dedication to service.
