Kebbi State has been selected among the first states to airlift its pilgrims back home. The airlift will start on June 13 from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This was disclosed by the secretary of the State’s Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) , Sani Labaran to journalists on behalf of the chairman of the agency, Alhaji Faruku Musa Enabo.

According to Labaran, following the successful completion of the 2025 Hajj exercise, the National Hajji Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has scheduled the first batch of return flights to begin on June 13, with Kebbi State among the first states to be airlifted back home.

Labaran also disclosed that in preparation for this, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has commenced the distribution of luggage to pilgrims allocated to the first flight from Shanga, Koko/Besse and Suru local government areas.

He said, “Each pilgrim is entitled to 32 kilograms of main luggage and 8 kilograms of hand luggage totalling 40 kilograms.”
