The management of BLord Group of companies, has issued a statement refuting claims made by controversial socialite, VeryDarkMan , he is responsible for the arrest and detention of their chief executive officer ( CEO) Linus Williams.
Recall that the controversial activist, VeryDarkMan , broke the news about the arrest of the prominent IT expert and billionaire businessman Blord by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja a few days ago.
He boasted about pushing for Blord’s arrest, while also encouraging the billionaire to improve his services following concerns about individuals losing money on his platform.
A statement issued by the BLordGroup, management refuted accusations that the tech expert was arrested due to VDM.B
BLord group, in a swift development, have cleared the air, arguing that contrary to VDM’s claim, their boss was only invited to the cybercrime center to assist the police with an ongoing investigation.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) had earlier confirmed that its operatives were interrogating Linus Williams.
According to force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi,the NPF National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) received complaints against the companies managed by Williams.
The Adejobi was quoted to have said that, “These offences include allegations bordering on cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.”
