The closing gala, curated by the entertainment and event planning company Gocreationz, seamlessly blended traditional and contemporary performances, featuring music and dance acts from across Africa.

The event celebrated this year’s theme, “Indigenous to Global: Cultural Wealth for Global Prosperity,” and left a lasting impression by showcasing Africa’s dynamic cultural heritage.

Gocreationz’ founder, Gloria Ohiri, emphasised that the company’s focus on storytelling and artistry aligns perfectly with AFRIFF’s mission to promote African cinema and storytelling worldwide.

“At Gocreationz, we believe in the transformative power of storytelling to bridge cultures and inspire global collaboration. Curating AFRIFF’s closing gala gave us the chance to honor Africa’s rich heritage and its creative energy, proving that our stories are both deeply rooted and universally resonant,” Gloria shared.

She is also preparing to curate folk music workshops at the Lagos Fringe Festival.

Gloria, a trained dance artist, choreographer, costumier, and stylist, brings her expertise to various creative projects, from theatre and music videos to TV shows and festivals. Her clients include Femi and Made Kuti’s dance queens, Zeeworld Dance, and Naija Dance (2023, 2024).
