The traditional title holder of ‘Wakilin Bayan Dutse’ under Marabar Gurku in Karu local government of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Abdullahi, said he would carry his people along and assist the less privileged in his community.
Abdullahi said he would always seek their advice on how best to assist them and proceed in community development.
He made this known while reacting to the reason behind organising the traditional title dinner, to mark the traditional title given to him. He emphasised the need for selflessness, generosity, and care for the less privileged.
He said, “It is only to show my appreciation to the people for supporting the traditional title given to me. I know I am not the only one qualified for the title, but Allah’s wish is for that to happen. I will also reciprocate their gesture by assisting the downtrodden.”
He called on people to pay attention to giving their children a good moral upbringing so that they can be of good character when they grow up, citing the example of a tree that can only be bent when it is very small.
He also solicited their advice on how best he can contribute his quota towards the community’s development.
