IAWPA Appoints Amb. Shehu Chairman Planning Committee On Buhari’s Reception

The International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has announced Amb. Dr. Shehu Abdulkadir Jimoh ( Sarkin Quadiriyah) as the Chairman of its planning Committee for the reception of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State.

The statement which was signed by the International Spokesman of the Association Amb Emmanuel Nkweke and the Katsina State Director Amb Habibu Yau said they will be honouring the outgoing president for his contributions to peace development in the country despite the huge challenges occasioned by banditry as we as insurgencies in parts of the country.

Dr. Shehu Abdulkadir Jimoh is currently the Permanent Representative of IAWPA to the Organisation of Islamic Countries OIC. He is currently in Saudi Arabia where he will be introducing himself as IAWPA Permanent Representative to the Islamic Committee.

The IntInternational ociation of World Peace Advocates IAWPA which is a global peace group and a participant of the United Nations Global Compact also has a Special Consultative Status under the United Nations Economic and Social Council ECOSOSC since the year 2019. It said this will be the first time the association will be honouring an outgoing president in Nigeria. “while we remain proud of having serving presidents, governors and other known and respected figures under our association, this will be the first time that we will be honouring an outgoing president in the country and it remains a rare privilege for us at IAWPA”

The worldwide peace pursuing association said the reception will be held on Thursday 18th May 2023 at Paramount event centre Gidan Dawa opposite the state headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC begining from 10am under the Chairmanship of the Chairman of Max Air Alhaji Amb. Dahiru Mangal and the State governor Aminu Masari as Special Guest of Honour. Other notable guest expected at the event include The World Peace President Amb Per Stafsen from the Kingdom of Denmark, Amb. Prof. Chidi Ehidiero the International Director of the association as well as other prominent personalities
