In Wednesday’s Super Six, Group 2 clash, Nigeria overcame the Irish by six runs to finish in third place.
The win, however, was not enough as Nigeria missed out on qualification for the semi-finals.
Despite missing the chance to be in the last four, the ICC showered plaudits on the Nigerian team for their performance on Wednesday.

“Hearts full of pride for Nigeria after seeing out a beautiful end to their #U19WorldCup campaign,” ICC wrote on X.

In a match that went right down to the wire, Nigeria kept their cool to clinch a dramatic one-wicket win over Ireland.”

Also, Lilian Ude was named Player of the Match for her all-round contribution, which included a crucial 12 off 11 with the bat.
