Wali made the declaration in his full acceptance address shortly after emerging victorious in the APC governorship primary election ahead of the 2027 general election.

The APC candidate described his emergence as a collective victory for supporters of continuity, unity and progressive governance in Yobe State, noting that the success of the primary election reflected the confidence party members and stakeholders have in the APC-led administration in the state.

He expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for what he described as a historic and successful political journey, while appreciating party leaders, delegates and supporters for entrusting him with the mandate to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming governorship election.

The APC governorship candidate paid glowing tribute to the Chairman of the Yobe State Stakeholders Forum and Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, describing him as an exceptional leader, statesman and visionary whose contributions to the political development of Yobe State remain invaluable.

Wali also commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his unwavering commitment, leadership qualities and contributions to the growth and stability of the APC in Yobe State.

“To our selfless, indefatigable and dynamic Governor, the Limamin Sulhu, a political strategist with institutional memory of Nigeria’s democracy, His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, I am sincerely appreciative of your sense of commitment to this project,” he said.

Wali noted that the policies, programmes and projects executed under the Buni administration had transformed several sectors of the state economy and improved the wellbeing of the people.

According to him, the victory recorded during the APC governorship primary election was not only personal but also a victory for continuity of the developmental strides already initiated by the present administration.

“The success we have achieved in this election today is the success of continuity of the laudable policies, programmes and projects of the Gov. Mai Mala Buni-led administration,” he declared.

He assured party faithful and residents of Yobe State that he would sustain the tempo of development by building on the solid foundations laid by both the Gaidam and Buni administrations.
