Harrison Ford returning to the screen for the fifth and (supposedly) final installment of the Indiana Jones films.

Titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Ford’s character Dr Henry Jones Jr, associate professor of Archaeology, Marshall College, and his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) are on a mission to recover the Dial of Destiny, and having to steal it back and forth from Mads Mikkelsen’s scheming Nazi antagonist. Dr Jones is on a journey of correcting past mistakes, finding a final triumph and looking towards retirement.

The trailer shows a CGI de-aged Harrison Ford in some of the scenes. Indiana Jones is renowned for recovering an astounding number of priceless cultural artifacts such as the Ark of the Covenant, one of the five Sankara Stones, and the Cross of Coronado. In this latest installment he dusts his fedora one last time to ensure Project Apollo reaches the moon without interference from latter day Nazis.

Starring alongside Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, Ethan Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen. It is directed by James Mangold.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will open on movie theatres June 30, and screen at Cannes Film Festival in May 2023.
