Insecurity: Northern Governors In Crucial Meeting In Kaduna

The19 Northern State governors have commenced an emergency meeting in Kaduna on Monday, apparently to address the rising security and other challenges facing the region.

Apart from the governors, traditional rulers, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar lll, were also part of the crucial meeting holding at Government House, Kaduna, on Monday.

In attendance so far were chairman of the Northern State Governors Forum and governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, Governors Uba Sani (Kaduna), Umaru Bago (Niger), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), while others were being represented by their deputies.
