The Institute of Productivity and Business Innovation Management (IPBIM) has honoured Titilola Shawana, executive director of Operations at Olu Tee Engineering, Houston, United States, for her exceptional contributions to the oil and gas sector, particularly in advancing environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Chairman, Membership Committee, IPBIM, Innocent Daniels, stated that Shawana’s selection as a Fellow Member of the Institute was based on a rigorous evaluation of her outstanding achievements, innovative leadership, and transformative impact within the oil and gas industry.

The innovative assessment tool, according to IPBIM, helps oil and gas companies identify critical environmental gaps, evaluate compliance risks, and enhance their
sustainability efforts.

“Moreover, your leadership in executing large-scale projects with multinational corporations like Chevron Nigeria Limited, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), and Southern Gas Contractors has resulted in substantial improvements in waste management, environmental compliance and operational efficiency notably under direction:  operational costs were reduced by 25%, and project efficiency increased by 30% through strategic process optimization,” Daniels added.

With Shawana’s innovative tool, Daniels disclosed that environmental impacts were reduced by 50% on Chevron-sponsored projects through comprehensive waste management strategies.And she successfully managed contracts valued at over $50 million, demonstrating exceptional project management and business acumen.

The Chairman noted that the Fellowship at IPBIM is reserved for the top 10% of experts globally who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements and leadership in their respective fields through exceptional Leadership and Innovation,global recognition and Impact ,major contributions to Industry advancement as well as professional distinction.

Shawana’s memberships and fellowships in respected organisations, such as the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM) and the Project
Management Institute (PMI),  Daniels said underscore  her professional stature and influence.

Titilola Shawana who is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM), Fellow, Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria (CILRM) among others, has over 11 years of experience in the oil and gas servicing industry, specialising in integrated waste management, environmental services, civic and mechanical engineering, and dredging and marine logistics support.

She achieved a 25% reduction in operational costs and a 30% increase in project efficiency. Proficient in strategic planning, project management, and process optimization using advanced ERP systems and data analytics.  She is skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
