A recent survey by Africa Practice revealed that 46 percent of African businesses are grappling with revenue declines, impacted by inflation and economic pressures. Appmint aims to reverse this trend by offering a no-code, AI-powered solution tailored to support African startups and small businesses.
Durubata’s CEO Jacob Ajiboye, at the launch of the App in Lagos, highlighted Appmint’s vision to bridge the digital divide by offering affordable tools suited for African entrepreneurs, adding that, “Our platform brings the scalability, innovation, and efficiency typical of tech ecosystems in developed nations but at a cost accessible to local businesses.”

Appmint’s all-in-one platform allows users to create websites, automate business operations, manage customer relationships, and gain data-driven insights without any advanced technical skills. Distinct from other platforms, Appmint combines features like marketing automation, e-commerce, and CRM into one cohesive system, addressing high-cost and complexity barriers faced by local startups. In alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Appmint also commits to empowering African youth with free training programs, equipping them with essential tech skills. This initiative is aimed at fostering a generation of innovators who can contribute to Africa’s growing tech industry, promoting economic growth and job creation.

Ajiboye expressed his vision for a future where African entrepreneurs, regardless of technical background, can compete on a global scale.

“We are committed to driving growth and innovation, enabling business owners to build without boundaries,” he said.

Durubata’s marketing director, Seun Tayo-Balogun, further emphasised Appmint’s unique features, including its intuitive drag-and-drop builder, business automation support, and scalability. Highlighting Appmint’s role as a local solution with global impact, she stated, “Our platform makes it easier for entrepreneurs to thrive, freeing them to focus on business growth and audience engagement.”

Tayo-Balogun pointed out the challenges of fragmented tools, adding, “Today’s entrepreneurs struggle with costly, disjointed platforms requiring multiple subscriptions. Appmint consolidates everything in one place—web design, e-commerce, CRM, marketing automation, and more.”

With an intuitive drag-and-drop builder, Appmint enables even non-technical users to quickly create responsive websites and apps. Its local focus includes integration with African financial systems for smooth adaptability, removing technical and geographic barriers for businesses. The app also centralises social media management, allowing businesses to oversee multiple platforms from a single dashboard. This feature enables scheduling, engagement tracking, and automated campaigns, saving time and boosting digital efficiency. It also features advanced customer engagement tools such as email marketing, live chat, and AI-powered chatbots that provide real-time customer support. These tools help businesses personalise interactions and foster long-term customer loyalty, aligning with Appmint’s mission to support sustainable growth for African entrepreneurs
