ITI 37th World Congress Announces Programme

The International Theatre Institute (ITI) has announced the programme activities for its 37th World Congress scheduled to hold September 18 to 25, 2024 at Antwerp, Belgium Flanders and Den Bosch, The Netherlands.

Themed ‘Embrace and Connect’, the World Congress hosted by the centers for ITI in Belgium Flanders, and The Netherlands, will reflect on the transformative powers of theatre to foster amidst conflict and division. In addition to, how the performing arts which transcends the boundaries of language and geography can serve as a potent vehicle for cross-cultural understanding and connection. 

The programme still a ‘working document’ and liable to change will activities hold in two nights in Antwerp, Belgium that includes arrival on September 18, Opening Ceremony, Conference Keynotes Addresses, Panel Discussions, Meet and Greet and Performances on September 19, and General Assembly, ITI Committee Meetings and performances on September 20. 

Activities scheduled at Den Bosch, The Netherland from September 21 and 22, the ITI General Assembly President and EC elections, Interactive Meetings, Interactive Workshops, a theatric production Not the Fathers and The Shell Trial; and Committee Meeting Reports and Closing Ceremony. 

Interested participants should be members of their country’s ITI Center, those from countries without ITI centers can contact the ITI Secretariat on how to participate as observers.
