Professor Jega replaced Prof Adamu David Baikie, the outgoing pro-chancellor of the institution.

Governor Sule also appointed Mr Shuaibu Kore, Mr Thomas Ogiri and Mrs Mary Enwongulu as members of the governing council.

A statement appointing the former INEC chairman as NSUK pro-chancellor was signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Aliyu Ubandoma and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Thursday.

The statement said the appointment was based on the powers bestowed on the governor as the visitor of the institution.
