JosPlay Marks IWD Spotlighting Waje & A Webinar For Women In Music

JosPlay, a homegrown and international music streaming platform, is marking International Women’s Day (IWD) with a spotlight on Nigerian female artiste Waje and a Women in Music webinar on March 27.

The platform recently released what it called ‘Waje Essential’. The playlist released on February 6, 2026, curated 30 songs by Waje.

The list had songs like ‘I Wish’, ‘Onye’, ‘So Inspired’, ‘Somebody’s Baby’, ‘Rara’, ‘Who Am I?’, ‘Feeling Good’, ‘Vibes’, ‘Grand’, ‘Abasi’, ‘Oko Mi’, ‘The Truth’, among others.

“In celebration of International Women’s Month, we’re honoured to feature the incredible Waje, a voice that empowers, inspires, and moves hearts, as one of Africa’s most iconic vocalists.

“ ‘Waje Essential’ celebrates the powerful voice of Waje, a soul-stirring vocalist whose music has inspired generations. This playlist showcases her powerful voice, emotional depth, and timeless songs that define her remarkable artistry. Dive into her timeless hits and experience the artistry that continues to shape Afropop.

JosPlay further announced an upcoming webinar, ‘Breaking Into The Music Industry as a Woman’ on March 27. The webinar aims to equip women in music with the knowledge, strategies, network, and intentional action needed to help African women shape a stronger, globally competitive music industry.

The session is open to female music artistes, producers, managers, DJs, spoken-word artistes, students, educators, and industry professionals across media, finance, governance, and entrepreneurship.
