The sack is coming less than 24 hours after President Bola Tinubu had sacked the Managing Director of FAAN, Kabir Mohammed; NAMA, Toyib Odunowo; the Director General of NiMet, Professor Mansur Matazu; the Director General of NSIB, Engr. Akin Olateru and the suspension of the director-general of NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu.

In a statement titled, ‘Reorganisation in the Agency under the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development,’ signed by the Head, Press and Public Affairs, of the Ministry, Odutayo Oluseyi, the sack of the directors was part of the reorganisation and repositioning of the aviation industry in order to ensure safety and efficient air travel experience across the country.

“The Directors of the affected agencies are as follows: Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Nigeria Metrological Agency (NiMET); Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA); Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA); Nigeria Safety and Investigation Bureau (NSIB).
