The embattled Senator representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Tuesday afternoon, defied the directives of the Kogi State Government and Police Command, against public gatherings in the State, by arriving by her countryhome in Ihima, Okehi LGA of the State, aboard a chopper.

The suspended Senator, who touched ground at about 1pm, was received by cheers from a crowd of supporters, which was already waiting to receive her.

The massive crowd had gathered at her private residence as early as 7am waiting anxiously to receive the Senator.

LEADERSHIP reports that earlier in the day the chairman of Okehi Local Government Area (LGA) Council, Hon. Amoka Eneji, had imposed a curfew on the LGA in order to stop the homecoming Sallah party by Senator Natasha.

The LGA chairman’s action followed earlier a ban on public gatherings in the State by the Kogi State Government, citing possible breach of peace.
