President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has arrived Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Wednesday, ahead of the inauguration of some projects executed by the State government.
LEADERSHIP reports that Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, had declared Wednesday a public holiday to enable the people of the state give the president-elect a rousing welcome.
Wike and his entourage recieved Tinubu at the Port Harcourt International Airport when his jet touched down at the about 10:03am.
Supporters of the governor were also present to receive Tinubu as they were allowed into the tarmac area under strict security control.
The President-elect will also be hosted at a state banquet later in the evening on Wednesday.
