Kaduna citizens have lauded the achievements of Governor Ubaa Sani after one year in in office and called for stakeholders support to transform the state and address lingering insecurity especially attacks on farmers.

They made the call at a public lecture organised by Privilege Magazine to review progress and future expectations.

A statement by the Chairman Planning Committee, Victor Bobai said participants from different works of life acknowledged the remarkable achievements of Governor Uba Sani’s administration in various sectors.

He listed some of the key achievements to include creating a conducive business environment, fostering peaceful coexistence among different ethnic groups, and significant strides in infrastructure development.

He said the administration has also prioritized education and human capital development, as well as the security and safety of the citizens.

“Despite the commendable achievements, the administration has faced several challenges. Financial management has been a significant hurdle due to the debt burden inherited from the previous administration”.

He continued”efforts should be made to address this issue by exploring alternative sources of revenue and implementing transparent financial practices”.

Bobai said the administration inherited a sharp political divide along religious lines, which needs to be addressed through inclusive governance and dialogue.

“Poverty and insecurity continue to be challenges, particularly in rural areas where farmers face attacks, leading to scarcity of food and basic needs.

“The recovery of resources from the previous administration should be pursued to address these challenges effectively” he said.

The statement called the attention of the Governor to lack of conducive learning environment at the Kaduna State University, particularly the Kafanchan Campus.

“Additionally, several road projects connecting communities have been abandoned by the previous administration, which requires attention,” he pleaded.

He Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people of Kaduna State through his notable achievements in various sectors. He however, called on the Governor to address identified challenges through effective governance and innovative solutions.
