Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA) has intensified work on the access road to the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, with asphalt laying currently underway as the project approaches completion.
The road project, a key intervention of the Kaduna State government under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, is aimed at improving connectivity to the federal tertiary institution and enhancing socio-economic activities in the area.
Initiated in October 2025, the contractor has since been fully mobilised to site, with the project now at 95 per cent completion. Authorities say the road is expected to be delivered within the next two weeks.
KADRA noted that the project forms part of the 150 road projects spanning 1,345 kilometres initiated by the present administration within its first two and a half years in office.
Upon completion, the asphalted road is expected to provide a smooth, durable driving surface, significantly improving access for students, staff, and residents, while also boosting economic activity in Kachia and surrounding communities.
