Chimtex was killed last night and the gubernatorial candidate Asake said the killing of the woman was a clear case of political assassination in view of her rising profile in the area.

He therefore charged security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book in the shortest possible time.

“I condemn in strong terms the gruesome murder of the Labour Party women leader in Kaura local government area of the state.

“This is a clear case of political assassination and I charge the security agencies to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the mastermind,” he said.

In the statement issued by James Swam, the media aide to the gubernatorial candidate, Asake prayed for the repose of her soul and quick recovery of her husband who sustained serious injury from the attack.
