Kano Woman Gives Birth To 5 Babies

A Kano woman, Hafsatu Yusuf, has delivered quintuplets at the Murtala Specialist Hospital, Kano.

Confirming the development, her husband, Malam Salisu Nafiu, said the babies,

Nafiu, a tricycle rider, expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery, noting that all five babies and their mother were in good health.

He added that this was his wife’s ninth delivery.

He added that medical personnel at the hospital were giving the mother and her newborns special attention to ensure their well-being.

Meanwhile, the Kano State Government has announced that it will take full responsibility for the mother’s healthcare and that of her quintuplets.

The Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Health, Nabilusi Abubakar Kofar Na’isa, said the gesture was part of efforts to strengthen maternal and child healthcare in the state and reduce maternal and infant mortality.

He added that the government remained committed to supporting vulnerable families to ensure access to quality healthcare across the state.
