The AGILE project is a World Bank-funded project in collaboration with the Katsina state government. It is expected to complete the first phase in July 2025 and commence the second phase after the evaluation and assessment of the funds spent on the project.

This was revealed at a stakeholders meeting held in Katsina, where progress updates and challenges were discussed, the successes achieved were assessed, areas for improvement were identified, and solutions were provided.

Speaking during the event, the state coordinator of the AGILE project, Mustapha Shehu, said the project had reached an impressive 61 percent completion, adding that the goal is to ensure every child has access to quality education.

He said significant progress had been made in transforming the state’s educational landscape, compromising the construction of 90 junior and 90 senior secondary schools in the new safe learning spaces.

In the School Improvement Grants (SIG) project, about 3,962 toilets were rehabilitated, and 915 new toilets were constructed, providing a clean and hygienic environment for students.
