Kebbi Collaborates With First Bank To Boost Industry, Economy

Kebbi State government has entered into partnership with First Bank Nigeria PLC to boost industrialisation and economy.

The agreement was signed on Wednesday between governor Nasir Idris and managing director of First Bank,  Olusegun Alebiosu at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

Speaking shortly, governor Nasir Idris said the state is eager to Collaborate with the management of First Bank PLC to execute critical development projects across Kebbi.

He commended the management of the bank for their role in establishing WACOT rice mill in Argungu under Kebbi State which was described as a major investment in the state.

Speaking with Journalists, the managing director of First Bank, Olesegun Alebiosu disclosed that plans are underway for a bank’s foreign partners to visit Kebbi State for discussions on mining.

He however mentioned other areas of collaboration which include the establishment of textile industry,  supply of water,  road infrastructure and solar power projects to support industrialisation and economic development in the state.
