Four children have been stabbed to death in a tragic attack at a kindergarten in Kampala, Ugandan police authorities confirmed on Thursday.

The incident occurred at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Programme School, located in the Makindye Division of the city, where a male suspect reportedly gained access to the premises by posing as a parent before launching the deadly attack.

According to local media reports, the victims were between the ages of two and three.

Police spokesperson, Racheal Kawala, confirmed the incident, describing it as tragic and brutal.

“We confirm a tragic incident at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school in Makindye Division, Kampala City, where a male suspect brutally stabbed and killed four juveniles,” Kawala said.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that angry residents attempted to lynch the suspect as he tried to flee the scene. However, security operatives intervened and took him into custody.

Authorities said the motive behind the attack remained unclear, with investigations currently ongoing.
