Afrobeat star Kizz Daniel has announced that he’s stepping away from recording music for now to focus on spending more time with his family.
In a recent post on X, the singer revealed that his family feels he’s been prioritising studio work over them, and he’s now determined to change that.
“No more recording for me… Just enjoying life like it should be. My family don diss me say I choose studio over them, I’m changing,” he wrote.
Despite having over 600 unreleased tracks, Kizz Daniel said he’s ready to take a break and reconnect with his loved ones. “I have over 600 songs I want to dish out before I hang boot,” he added, hinting that while he plans to release more music eventually, his current focus is family.
This revelation followed a fan’s comment about his frequent music drops, prompting the artist to share his plans for gradually releasing his catalogue before a possible retirement.
Kizz Daniel recently released the Lemon Chase EP, featuring standout tracks like Black Girl Magic, Titi (with Fola), and Al-Jannah (with Bella Shmurda and ODUMODUBLVCK), further cementing his place in the Afrobeat scene before taking this intentional pause.
