Oloriegbe represented Kwara Central senatorial district in the National Assembly between 2019 and 2023.

Kwara State has at least 3,102 pilgrims for this year’s Hajj.

A statement signed by the governor’s chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, said, “the choice of the senator is borne out of his experience and networks as a Muslim community leader.

“The government believes that the senator will deploy his knowledge and understanding of the terrain to ensure improved coordination and efficiency for the exercise.”
