Lagos Assembly To Collaborate With Guangxi Congress On Legislative Matters

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed readiness to collaborate legislatively with the Guangxi People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China.

He made this remark on Monday when members of the Guangxi People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Obasa also said that visitors should take advantage of Lagos’s huge population and invest in other sectors of the economy besides tourism.

According to him, with a budget above N3 trillion, Lagos State has a vast area of investment that China can explore.

The Speaker discussed the existing relationship between the state and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) regarding the construction and operation of the Red and Blue lines.

The Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi People’s Congress, Zhang Xiaoqin, said the visit aimed to facilitate Legislative collaboration and trade.
