Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has downplayed recent speculation linking him with a return to Chelsea, reiterating his commitment to the Sky Blues.
Speaking on Thursday morning, Lampard, whose comments were shared by football journalist Fabrizio Romano, emphasised his focus on his current role.
“Chelsea is a big part of my life, and at the moment, that’s their business and my business is here,” Lampard stated, directly addressing the rumours.
He urged Coventry fans to “just be enjoying where we are,” highlighting the unpredictable nature of football management.
Lampard expressed his satisfaction with Coventry’s impressive season, adding, “I’d like to think Coventry fans would just be enjoying where we are… I am really proud and pleased to be part of it, I enjoy what I’m doing here.”
His remarks suggest he is fully invested in his project at Coventry, despite the ongoing managerial uncertainty at his former club.
