Lasaco Assurance Plc has donated health recovery items to support the Health Initiative Programme of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government area of Lagos State.

The corps members, under the aegis of Local Government Initiative (LGI), have, in their 2024 first quarter Health Initiative, made provision for rural dwellers whose access to quality health services was limited due to poverty, ignorance and superstition

The initiative, the insurer said, is to support the health needs of the beneficiaries.
The company said, the initiative is to help rural dwellers overcome their difficulties in accessing quality health, a factor which was responsible for people’s patronage of unorthodox medical practices

The company’s head of Corporate Communications, Seye Smart, who represented the head of Strategy, Research and Communications, Dayo Adetokun, to present gift items to corps members, emphasised the importance of exposing citizens to quality health and safety as this would improve capacity, make them function well and prolong their life expectancy.

A healthy citizen, she explained, would contribute meaningfully to the growth of the society and be useful for the development of humanity.

Smart thanked the corps members for caring about the health needs of the people of Ifako Ijaiye community who, she hoped, would take advantage of the programme to seek solutions to their health issues.

Leader of the LGI team, Bose Ojimi, said the programme was the group’s modest contribution to the country’s quest for improved health and safety for Nigerians, hoping that other corporate organisations would follow the footsteps of Lasaco Assurance to offer necessary assistance to the people.
