Adamawa State deputy governor Kaletapwa Farauta has charged women vice chairmanship candidates in the 21 local government areas to ensure the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wins Saturday’s council election.
Addressing journalists in Yola after the meeting in her office yesterday, Farauta said the female vice chairmanship candidates have agreed to ensure women work assiduously to ensure victory in the forthcoming council elections
“First, we have a purpose to thank God as women who have been brought to this level as deputy governors and vice chairmen.
“We also thanked our Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for being friendly to women.
“This is why we have a reason to meet with one another.
“We have agreed to go back and ensure every woman works assiduously to ensure PDP wins council polls in the state,” she said.
She called on the people to exercise their franchise for the continued development of the state.
“Seeing the development stride in the state, people should vote PDP for continued development,” she added.
