Livebridge Property and Investment Limited has provided free medical services for 1,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and individuals living with disabilities in Karamajiji community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The outreach, which took place on Friday, was aimed at alleviating the economic and healthcare challenges being faced by vulnerable Nigerians.
The beneficiaries received free medical check-ups, essential medications, drugs and other humanitarian aids.
The company also distributed food items, wheelchairs and other essential items to support the beneficiaries.
Livebridge managing director and chief executive officer, Mr. Nwaneri Obinna Flaker, expressed delight at being able to help those in need.
“It is both a great pleasure and privilege to give back to the community, this is something we do annually as part of our corporate social responsibilities,” he said.
Flaker noted that the outreach coincided with his birthday, making the occasion even more special. “It gladdens my heart to use this day to reach out to those in need,” he added.
Addressing the high cost of healthcare in Nigeria, Flaker urged the federal government to take more decisive action to expand access to primary healthcare services.
Head of Customer Service at Livebridge, Ejembi Alice, emphasised the importance of supporting vulnerable communities during such challenging times.
