The Netherlands international could leave the Premier League giants this summer transfer window.

Van Dijk’s contract at Anfield will end in the summer of 2025.

The Dutchman has been a key player and a leader for the club, especially under Jurgen Klopp since his arrival from Southampton in January 2018 for a reported fee of £75 million.

He has played 270 games for the Reds, contributing 23 goals and 12 assists, helping the Premier League side win almost every trophy available.

Football365 now reports that Liverpool have offered the 33-year-old to Atletico Madrid this summer.

This is basically because the Reds want to start a new era following Jurgen Klopp’s departure.

However, Atletico Madrid are said to be uninterested on taking up the offer.

The Spanish side are said to be looking at players with a lower profile and wages to manage their finances.
