Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, at the weekend, promised its stakeholders of consistency in its superior service delivery even as it rewarded 62 staff for their outstanding performance.
Speaking at the 27th Annual Thanksgiving Service in Ikeja, Lagos, at the weekend, the managing director, Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Mr. Femi Asenuga said, despite the turbulent business operating environment and the harsh economy, the company has continued to wax stronger due to its superior products and service delivery as well as the assistance of God.
He said, God has been marvelous to the company in its 27 years of existence, having undergone series of recapitalisation exercise and survived while some who started the same time with Mutual Benefits had long closed for business.
Stating that the company has grown in leaps and bounds in the last 27 years, he added that, there are positive signs that better days lie ahead for the shareholders, customers and relevant stakeholders.
The thanksgiving service, he pointed out, was a day set aside by the organisation to thank God for his mercy in the lives of its customers, management and the entire staff of the company as well as its relevant stakeholders in the outgone year, while praying for God’s guidance and support in the years ahead.
Similarly, the chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, who spoke on the history and philosophy of the underwriting firm and its several battles to survive and succeed in insurance industry, noted that, the company today is a manifestation of the wonders of God.
He noted that the foundation of the firm was laid by God, adding that, all that the firm has done and achieved were through God.
While applauding those who have contributed to the success of the organisation, especially, the former commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Fola Daniel and the former chairman of the firm, Akin Opeodu and his own wife, Mrs. Dotun Ogunbiyi, among others, he praised the staff for their commitment towards the growth and development of Mutual Benefits group.
Earlier, at the thanksgiving service, 62 staff who have spent between five to 25 years in the employment of the company were rewarded with Long Service Award while some outstanding marketers were awarded for growing the bottomline of the company.
Ogunbiyi charged the company’s staff to increase their productivity in a bid to further grow the bottom line of the underwriting firm, while thanking God for what he has done in his life and the life of the insurance firm.
Leading Pastor, Harvesters International Christian Centre, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, had earlier lauded the firm’s chairman and management for counting it worthy to appreciate God for His gestures, noting that, no matter how far people had gone in life, they should learn to say thank you, especially to God, stressing that, in all things, we should thank God.
The Mutual Benefits Choir did a great job of thrilling the audience with soul lifting gospel songs as participants danced, sang and appreciated God for what he had done in their respective lives.
