My Bank & I: Stirring Up A Hornet’s Nest

That didn’t fix it, I thought still feeling upset. What kind of passive aggressive attitude is this? “I also suggest you tell these crowd to stand in a line and maintain a respectful distance from the table while waiting for their turn?” I told her.

She followed my advice and in a tired voice asked the customers to maintain a respectful distance and form a queue. I watched as she attended to my issue, quietly thinking how over worked some of these staff were. Initially I had thought to call the attention of her supervisor but then decided not to stir up the hornets nest. They are sometimes also not helpful.

The lady maintained a tired but forced politeness all through, and once she had addressed the problem and fixed it, I was happy to be out of the bank. The point is, she is not the only one guilty of this attitude, there are many just like her. Personal data has a reason for being called ‘personal data,’ it should be protected. It’s sad some service providers do not understand that. I really do hope they sit up.
