Recall that Akor, who has scored seven goals in his first 10 games for the club, told BBC Sports that Nigeria is blessed with an array of strikers and that he will take his chance once he’s invited to represent his fatherland.

“We all have our place and we are privileged to have so many good strikers and so many good players,” Adams told BBC Sports,

“So, when the time comes, I’ll take the opportunity. It’s a dream for every Nigerian kid, which I am one of.”
Although he has not scored for Montpellier since November 2023, the 24-year-old has been a consistent presence on the field for his club.
