The student body commended his purposeful and impactful leadership, which has transformed the Council, promoting fair trade practices and ensuring that the quality, quantity, and cost of services in the transportation and logistics chain are moderated and standardized.

A press statement by Comr. Mimidoo Joy Gundu, NANS public relations officer, noted that the council has achieved remarkable milestones under his leadership.

It further commended Ukeyima for facilitating the Nigerian Port Economic Regulatory Agency Bill, which seeks to represent a forward-looking approach to repositioning Nigeria’s maritime industry in line with global trade standards and regional dynamics.

The statement also highlighted his efforts toward international cooperation and partnerships with major global shipping companies, aimed at transforming Nigeria into a maritime logistics hub for Africa. It also praised his focus on youth empowerment, support for Nigerian students, and his immense contributions to the educational sector.
