The APC Grassroots Governance Group APC G3 has welcomed Monday’s national broadcast by President Bola Tinubu, saying we have a leader prepared to work for ordinary Nigerians.

The Group in a press release said the President in his speech titled “After darkness comes the glorious dawn” has shown that he wants to alleviate the living conditions of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religion.

The National Coordinator, APC G3, Amechi Chuks Oyema commended the President and his team for the courage to remove the fraudulent subsidy on fuel, saying that over a trillion naira saved in a little over two months vindicates the government.

APC G3 said the President has been able to convince Nigerians that he is well prepared for the task ahead as he has marshal out plans on how to use the savings from removal of fuel subsidy for the good of Nigerians.

The group said the promise to review the minimum wage is a welcome development, and urged labour leaders to cooperate with the government to make improved welfare of workers a reality.

APC G3 said the plans to strengthen the manufacturing sector, increase its capacity to expand and create good paying jobs is great potential to kick-start a sustainable economic growth, accelerate structural transformation and improve productivity.

The group said “As a people oriented leader, President Tinubu has also recognized the need to ensure that prices of food items remain affordable, hence the multi-stakeholder engagement with various farmers’ associations and operators within the agricultural value chain.

“He also touched on the need to bring improvements to rural access roads to ease evacuation of farm produce to markets.

“APC G3 also welcomed the programme to roll out buses across the states and local governments for mass transit at a much more affordable rate.

“President Tinubu also promised to make education more affordable to all and provide loans to higher education students who may need them. We welcome the pledge that “No Nigerian student will have to abandon his or her education because of lack of money.

“APC G3 salutes President Bola Tinubu and his team for the courage to face our various challenges headlong.

“We therefore urge Nigerians to cooperate and support the present administration in it’s determination to make life better for us all,” the group added.
