The Nigerian Navy in Calabar area have flagged off a free medical Rhapsody to the people of Bakassi LGA in Cross River State.

In a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP, the medical outreach was organized by the Nigerian Navy Ship VICTORY in collaboration with the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital Calabar.

The leader of the team Cdre VB GBARANWI, Comd Nigerian Navy Ship VICTORY Calabar was accompanied by the Comd Nigeria Navy Reference Hospital Calabar Capt DI Adebayo, and other officers ratings and civilian staff of both units to the host community.

This was part of the events marking the NN end of year activities in Calabar Area carried out to improve the relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the people of Cross River state.

During the event, Free medical consultations such as blood checks, diabetes screening, eye test, dental check and Malarial treatment were conducted. Others were health talk on hypertension and distribution of medications and mosquito nets amongst other medical consumables.
