NB Appoints Jaap Overmars As Non-executive Director

The Board of Directors of Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc, has announced the appointment of Jaap Albert Overmars as non-executive director of the company.

The Company stated this in a notice to Nigerian Exchange Limited(NGX), signed by the Company Secretary/Legal Director, Uaboi Agbebaku.

According to the notice, Nigerian Breweries Plc hereby informs the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of the following change in the Board of Directors arising from the Board Meeting of the Company held on October 25, 2023.

“Overmars brings over 21 years of experience in accounting and reporting, commercial business control and financial operations management in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry to bear on the board as Non-Executive Director.”

It added that “currently, he is the senior director Finance (Africa/Middle East/Eastern Europe region of Heineken N.V) and is responsible for leading the finance strategies in the region through delivering sustainable growth and value creation. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the senior director finance for Heineken Mexico.”
