A five-day capacity-building training programme on phone repairs, sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has been successfully completed.
The initiative, executed by Papi Efe Nig. Ltd., benefited 50 youths.
The training, which ran from February 9 to 13, was designed to equip young Nigerians with practical phone repair skills, enhancing both their employability and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Speaking at the conclusion of the programme, the CEO of Papi Efe Nig. Ltd., Stanley Umukoro, expressed gratitude to NCDMB for the opportunity to empower the youths. “We’re thrilled to have been part of this initiative, and we’re confident that the skills imparted will open up new avenues for these young people,” he said.
Participants, who received certificates and toolkits, praised NCDMB for the opportunity, noting that the training had given them a valuable skill to start their own businesses. The programme is expected to contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s informal sector and promote youth empowerment.
NCDMB’s sponsorship of the training highlights its commitment to building local capacity and fostering economic growth through skills development.
