In a statement on Wednesday, Prof. Sulaiman recognised the late Chief Mrs. Saraki for her significant contributions to her family and the nation.

He praised her as a pillar of strength, a compassionate matriarch, and a guiding light whose legacy of selfless service and dedication to family values will continue to inspire many.

“Mama Florence Saraki was more than a mother to one of Nigeria’s eminent political leaders; she was a beacon of hope and a source of support. Her life was a testament to the virtues of love, resilience, and faith.

“She played an instrumental role in shaping the lives of her children, who have gone on to serve Nigeria with distinction,” Prof. Sulaiman stated.

“In this time of mourning, we stand in solidarity with the Saraki family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this difficult period,” he added.

Prof. Sulaiman prayed for eternal rest in Paradise for the departed and prayed for God to grant the family the strength to bear the loss.

Mama Florence Saraki passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the age of 89.
